Following the away victory of FLAM 91 against Sainte-Geneviève Sports, JC Chilly-Mazarin Morangis, the third Essonne club competing this year in the Judo Pro League, also successfully negotiated its trip to Asnières-sur-Seine to comfortably secure the three points for the win.
Woe to whoever opened the scoring early in this match: sharp with her o-soto-gari, Clémentine Lenoir (-57kg) was indeed overtaken by Meriem Medjouri, who took the lead thanks to her sumi-gaeshi before pinning the Chiroquoise on her back for ippon. Defending French champion Nathan Cadignan (-73kg) also began his duel perfectly against Marin Chabon, who finished just off the national junior podium in 2025, scoring a yuko with his o-uchi-gari before losing his footing in two close-combat situations that went in favor of his young rival. Same story in the -63kg category, this time with the final word going to Doria Boursas from Asnières, a bronze medalist at the recent Mediterranean Games, who took advantage of her opponent's fatigue at the end of the bout to claim a decisive yuko. In the -81kg duel between Tom Libert and Peter Jean, both selected for the 2025 Paris Grand Slam, the decision came down to penalties, with three warnings proving fatal for Libert.
It was then that Lara Hieu-Filet (-70kg) – born in 2001 and already the veteran of her team – went into action to clearly dominate Farah Bedar in two stages and allow the JCCMM to take the lead for the first time (2-3).
A perfectly negotiated ending
A lead that Rayan Kais (-90kg) was quick to confirm upon returning from the locker room with a sublime sode-tsuri-komi-goshi that uprooted veteran Igor Soucat, followed by Angella Tchami Yamedjeu (+70kg), smart enough to impose her tai-otoshi at the start of the final minute against Eugénie Louvieaux. Even though Maxence Bordin (+90kg) jumped at the chance to choke out Roméo Levêque following an imprecise knee-drop attack by the latter, the match without a winner between Lycia Guebli and Sarah Bothy irremediably locked in the positions. Adrian Mimovan's (-66kg) victory over Sasha Quentin changed nothing, as it was indeed the visitors from Essonne who claimed their first win of the competition, a welcome boost before heading to Montreuil in early November to challenge last year's semifinalists. On the Asnières side, Auxerre Judo looms on the horizon in six weeks.
