Judo Pro League Week #2: Fixtures presentation

The Judo Pro League enters its second week of competition with four meetings which will already give valuable indications of each person's ambitions.
Between historic clubs, new formations and prestigious reinforcements, the season is settling in and promises some high-profile confrontations on every tatamis.


Tuesday, October 7: AM Saint-Gratien vs Dojo Béglais

Newcomer to the Judo Pro League, AM Saint-Gratien is about to discover the competition in front of its home crowd. The Val-d'Oise club, led by Khamzat Saparbaev, Jason Okoye and Lyse Versmisseis approaching its first season with determination. Their objective is clear: to establish themselves firmly in the league and aim for a place in the quarter-finals.
Opposite him, the Dojo Béglaispresent since the first edition, is aiming to turn things around after a tricky 2024 season. The team led by Christophe Dumontier relies on its experience and the presence of the double world champion Barbara Matic to revive its momentum and return to the top of the rankings.


Wednesday, October 8: Normandie Judo vs SGS Judo

Visit Normandie Judo returns to the Judo Pro League with a view to breaking new ground. Having been eliminated at the quarter-final stage last year, the Normandy-based outfit is back on the same footing: a 100-% regional squad and an unchanged fighting spirit. Under the direction of Romaric Bouda, Perrine Saint-Étienne and Théo RiquinThe Normans are hoping to spring a surprise against one of the championship favourites.
SGS Judoa finalist in 2023 and semi-finalist in 2024, is aiming for the national title that still eludes it. The club from Laurent Bosch is supported by an experienced backbone - Léa Fontaine, Adam Kopecky, Quentin Joubert and Cédric Olivar - and the stability of a group capable of dominating the championship.


Thursday, October 9: Montpellier Judo Olympic vs Juniville Marnaval Grand Est

After a season marked by its first qualification for the quarter-finals, the Montpellier Judo Olympic wants to confirm its progress. TheAngel Gustan is based on cohesion and the solidity of a constantly evolving team. The reception of Juniville Marnaval, one of the most reinforced teams of the off-season, will be a major test.
Facing her, Juniville Marnaval Grand Est has new ambitions. After a promising apprenticeship season, the club has treated itself to a luxury recruitment campaign: Amandine Buchard, Miriam Butkereit and Anne-Fatoumata M'Bairo join a workforce already made up ofAndy Granda, Mélanie Clément and brothers Lou and Téo L'Herbier.


Thursday, October 9: AC Boulogne-Billancourt vs US Orléans Judo Loiret

For his first appearance in the Judo Pro League, AC Boulogne-Billancourt has set its sights high. The Romain Poussin combines club-trained talent - Sarah-Léonie Cysique, Romain Valadier Picard, Kenny Livèze - and prestigious international reinforcements with Japan's Haruna Funakubo and Dutchwoman Joanne Van Lieshout.
Visit defending champion, US Orleans Judo LoiretThe team is virtually unchanged. Despite the departure ofAnne-Fatoumata M'Bairothe group led by Anthony Rodriguez keeps its frames Arnaud Aregba, Martha Fawaz, Enzo Jean and Anaïs Perrot. The Orléanais, solid and consistent, intend to defend their crown with the same determination as last year.
