The Judo Pro League 2024 is underway, and the 7 matches on the first day's program have already yielded some initial insights.
Meetings :
Auxerre Judo vs Asnières Judo 92 : 6-3
Burgundy's judokas sprang a minor surprise by defeating Asnières, last season's semi-finalists. Fabrice Ruimy's protégés had come to Auxerre with a reshuffled team, but were leading before losing 5 of their last 6 bouts.
Flam 91 vs Dojo Béglais: 8-2
Flam 91 makes a comeback in the Judo Pro League! Chloé Devictor and her team-mates won their match with ease against the Dojo Béglais, after an all-round performance.

SGS Judo vs Normandie Judo : 6-3
The finalist secures his place in the competition! The Geneva franchise won its first round against a familiar opponent, Normandie Judo. Having been twice embarrassed by the valiant Normans last year, the SGS judokas this time secured an early victory against a numerically diminished opponent.
Judo Nice Métropole vs OM Judo : 6-3
The Nice champion is back on track. Against OM Judo, Judo Nice Métropole had to wait until the last few bouts to make the difference, but secured the essential. Tied with three bouts to go, the Nice franchise racked up 2 crucial wins before Tanou Keita sealed his team's victory with an ippon, synonymous with a vital bonus.
Montpellier Judo Olympic vs JC Chilly-Mazarin Morangis : 3-7
Travelling to Montpellier, the Judo Club de Chilly-Mazarin Morangis came out on top against a tough Montpellier Judo Olympic team. With the score tied after 6 bouts, the Montpellier team cracked, and the JCCMM flew to victory, pocketing a bonus point in the process, which puts them in first place at the end of Day 1 of this Judo Pro League.

US Orléans vs Dojo Nantais: 7-2
Faced with an incomplete Dojo Nantais team, US Orléans Loiret secured the essential victory at their Jean-Claude Rousseau dojo. Anthony Rodriguez's team quickly extended their lead thanks to wins by Anaïs Perrot and Martha Fawaz, before taking advantage of 2 forfeits to confirm their success.
Judo des Hauts-de-France vs Juniville Marnaval Grand Est : 6-4
Judo des Hauts-de-France spectators turned out in force to enjoy the most suspenseful match in Nogent-sur-Oise. After leading 4-1, the judokas of the northern franchise had to battle right up to the last bout and Luka Lomidze's victory by ippon to prevent a comeback by Juniville Marnaval Grand Est, thus securing an already important victory for qualification to the quarter-finals.
