After a suspenseful group phase lasting right up to the last day, the final table kicks off next Tuesday evening in Sainte-Genevi\u00e8ve-des-Bois. Watch out...things are about to get serious!<\/strong><\/p>\n

After a little over a month's break, the Judo Pro League resumes next week with the quarter-finals of this 2023\/2024 edition. To begin with, two matches in the Paris region will determine the first qualifiers for the Final Four, on January 6, at the Paris Dojo.<\/p>\n

The first quarter-final of this year's Judo Pro League kicks off on Tuesday, November 28.
\nWith five wins and one loss - there were four structures in Pool A - the Rouge et Blanc club, which has team DNA in its blood, closes the elimination phase as undisputed leader. With a strong line-up in every category (almost thirty-five different judokas took part in the first six matches), Sainte-Genevi\u00e8ve will also be playing at home, in front of a capacity crowd.<\/p>\n

Facing the G\u00e9nov\u00e9fains will be Arnaud Gendre's team from Nantes, whose ranks include the new French champion in the -66kg class, Kevin Azema. Runners-up in Pool B, the Dojo Nantais will certainly not be starting out as favourites, but they do have a number of renowned individuals, such as their Cameroonian +78kg team-mate Hortense Vanessa Mballa Atangana, who will be keen to derail the Essonne steamroller.<\/p>\n

Held on November 29 at the Teddy Riner Arena in Asni\u00e8res, this duel pits two teams with experience of the 2022 edition against each other. The club from Hauts-de-Seine, semi-finalists just under a year ago, simply crushed Pool B with their authority: four wins in as many matches, fourteen points in the overall standings, the second best result behind Sainte-Genevi\u00e8ve Sports... but with two fewer matches! The team led by Fabrice Ruimy, Guillaume Etchegaray and Rayane Hamdaoui even scored the most points (waza-ari or ippon) in the elimination phase, with a total of 357! These statistics highlight the quality and homogeneity of the Asni\u00e9rois squad.<\/p>\n

Opposing them was Normandie Judo, second in Pool A with thirteen points scored. The backbone of this team is made up of fighters trained in the region, some of whom play for the Eure Judo top-level structure.
